Today we have for all of you another Bollywood of those that we like so much, it is not a novelty, but quite recent, so surely you like this review. The movie is Simmba and is another one of those Indian films about police, corruption, etc. with a protagonist maces and charismatic that can with everything. Perhaps we have already seen many similar films, but for now we still like this subgenre, especially when it is beast enough and this is not bad.

A tough guy with a good mustache
As always, the story begins with a lower-class child who seeks life as he can, until he sees how corrupt cops live, who have all the power and all the money they want, so he decides that when he grows up he wants to be like they. When he grows up and becomes a good corrupt cop without problems, he has everyone in his pocket and gets them sent to Goa, where the crime is greater and therefore the bribes too; but there is a criminal leader who is almost untouchable, who runs the clubs, has a monopoly on drugs, etc. The first thing Simmba does is to mess with this criminal to make him see that he is already there and that he will have to pay him well, so they establish a relationship and everyone is happy. All good until Simmba meets a girl who acts as a teacher for poor children, and that is when she learns that the criminal uses these children to transport drugs, the teacher tries to get involved and stop him and everything ends badly, with what Simmba will get angry, leave the bad life and become a good cop, ending all corruption and crime in the city.
The truth is that it is not one of the best films we have seen in this style, much more when our first reference was Dabangg (the best that can be done), but it is quite entertaining and has all the necessary elements: humor, action , music, dances, color ...
As always, it is a perfectly separated film in two parts: the first one very funny, with a rather childish and ridiculous humor, more carried by the protagonist, his way of speaking very fast, some yoyas that are escaping and some easy joke that by another thing. In the second part, the film takes a radical turn and becomes something more serious (not exaggerated), starting as soon as the plot of children and drugs appears and changing the main character completely, making him not only a good person, but also worried about society and aware of doing the best he can. In this second part, the real action also begins, which goes from less to more, with a tremendous end, well above the rest of the film.

SPOILER - And it is that throughout the film reference is made to Singham (you know, the policeman of that Bollywood film that fought against corruption), and in the final scene of the film appears the very Ajay Devgam to help the protagonist, handing out hosts everywhere.
Apart from that, we can say little more about this film that we have not said in other Bollywood movie reviews: excellent music, a guaranteed show and everything done in style, perhaps this time with a little less budget than others great productions that we have seen, but it is certainly not a minor film either.
Perhaps what has convinced us the least has been its protagonist Ranveer Singh (Padmavaat, Gunday) because he has a very funny role here, maybe understanding him in Hindi earns a lot and is really funny, but for us it has become a bit heavy beginning.
In short, another one of those Bollywood films with a great policeman as the protagonist; It is not the best we have seen or by any means, but it is quite entertaining, and with a final of traca.
