Bite me if you love me, zombies and Japanese schoolgirls
Bite me if you love me
After a week with reviews of somewhat more intense films, today we have something simple and light for you, although that is why it is still an extreme film of those that we like so much. We have seen Bite me if you love me, a Japanese zombie movie, although more than terrifying it is a humorous and somewhat sexy product; It is a rather small production in terms of budget, ambitions, etc. but that is not why it is something quite original.
Bite me if you love me
A cute schoolgirl
It is the story of a schoolgirl who is quite obsessed with the zombie world, regardless of reality, the last thing she thinks is to have a zombie boyfriend. Discover that there is an outcast in his class that they call zombie, but only because he lets himself be driven around by everyone; anyway, she starts investigating the way to create zombies and discovers how to create magical powders capable of resuscitating the dead, so he takes the partner, throws him from the roof down and applies the powders to his corpse; When the boy is resurrected as a zombie, she takes him home and turns him into her boyfriend, of course taking him to bed first of all. At first the boy is scared, but he soon realizes that being a zombie also has its advantages (and not just because of sex), things like scaring those who used to abuse him, being a novelty in the neighborhood (even what convince to announce sodas), etc. Everything will start to spoil when he sees that he has to eat human flesh so as not to starve to death, when he starts to rot and when his girlfriend finds someone he likes more (in the same terrifying style, but a surprise in the movie).
We do not want to extend much with this review since the film does not have much to tell, we will only tell you that we have had a great time watching it, however cumbersome it may be. Maybe it is a bit childish, but it has all the necessary doses of absurd humor, sex, violence and even some gore, so if you decide to see it we guarantee guaranteed fun, although some of them find it difficult to see those Japanese films so low budget .
Bite me if you love me
Do not miss sex
In addition to that, it is noted that it is not simply a humorous movie that tries to exploit the fashion theme, but that the director is a real passionate about zombie cinema, so not only does he give us some very interesting classic references, but that He also tells us in the mouth of the schoolgirls what they have represented for him and his vision of gender.
The leitmotiv of the movie is not exactly the theme of the zombies, as we have said before, if we classify it by gender, we would enter it into the pinku eiga (those Japanese films that, touching several themes, their main attraction is sex) , of course with a very restrained and well-censored sex, as it should be because of its Japanese origin, but with some very risque scenes and a very cute girl and some sex scenes at least quite geeks, both for what they do and for what they say.
What has surprised us the most is that it is not like the typical Japanese film of this style, which starts at the top, but in the central part it deflates completely, it is very short, but it does not stop at all times, and especially an end of Scandal, we do not want to make any spoilers, but with the cover of the film you get an idea of what can be, hilarious and super original.
In short, a very silly and rather shabby film, but very funny (at least for us who love absurd Japanese humor), with lots of sex and some blood too. What else can we ask for?
The best of the movie:
We did not expect to have such a good time with a byproduct like this.
The worst of the movie:
In general it looks very shabby, although it is not the worst and this does not mean any impediment to having a good time.
